About Me

I have provided therapy and coaching services for the past 30 years. My client base includes individuals, couples, families, corporate leaders, and athletes.  In my role as a licensed therapist, I  have developed specific expertise in the following areas: trauma, addiction, mood disorders, women’s issues, performance enhancement, couples in transition, grief and loss, and stress-management. My athletic base includes working with nationally ranked competitors in the following sports: equestrian,  long distance running, track and field, figure skating, baseball, and cycling. I am currently an EMDR consultant, and have extensive training in the Trauma Resiliency Model, and Strategic and Solution-focused therapeutic interventions. I am also a HypnoBreathwork coach and incorporate this into my practice.

I graduated from the University of California at Los Angeles with a degree in psychology and a Minor in Business and have a Master’s Degree in the Science of Counseling from San Diego State University.

In my role as an Executive Manager of a non-profit, I took an active role in the agency’s strategic planning process, adjusted the agency’s infrastructure to accommodate clinical services and issues, and served as the agency’s HIPAA Privacy Officer where I maintained oversight of the legal and ethical aspects of the organization including the quality and integrity of the agency’s clinical programs. I also received funding for numerous innovative programs for at-risk youth and families that are still functioning today.

I also competed at the national and international levels as a distance runner from teens to late 30s where I developed various mental training strategies that I have incorporated into my model of care for athletes.
